Some hair is harder to dye, I’m not sure exactly why it happens. Try mixing less conditioner or use purple/blue toner instead?

I have never used Splat, but a friend of mine did and it lasted… two weeks, I think? Eesh.

use Silver Lady toner for more silver, with a very light dye.

Oh, and mix with conditioner! Except if it’s colored anything other than purple!

It honestly depends on the brands. Same brand? It might be okay, check reviewers of the product. I’ve mixed two slightly different (light red and red-orange) hair colors before, and they were both Manic Panic- it was fine. Be careful!

yes, but be careful with the shade of lavender. :) try to avoid greys.

with dark hair, bleach it, preferably with a blue-toned bleach (such as Kaleidocolors) and make sure to remove all dark orange/yellow in the hair.
